8th Street Urban Parkette Project - Toronto, Ontario

VDZ has been selected with partners EDA collaborative of Toronto to conduct public process and design for the 8th Street Parkette. This small urban park is currently home to a much loved urban green space and playground. The city of Toronto parks dept. has identified this park as a venue for youth sports, skateboarding, childrens play, and common green space for the surrounding residential coop and industrial businesses. The focal point of this redevelopment will include an urban plaza that will support socializing, and skateboarding. VDZ will be in Toronto to conduct public workshops and design charette with stakeholders in early November 2009.
